Funeral services for Bobby Jean Ables, 89, of Winnsboro , were held Monday at Beaty Funeral Home in Winnsboro with the Reverends David Taylor, Fred Morrow and Jimmy Henry officiating.

Burial was held in Caney Cemetery in Hopkins County.

Ables passed away Saturday, October 27, 2012.

She was born February 8, 1923 to the late Jim David and Ermon Gillispie Brown. She was a homemaker and member of Caney Baptist Church. She married Thomas Ables on June 7, 1939.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Thomas Ables; son, Ronny Ables; brother, Jim Bruce Brown; and a sister Margie Perritt.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Markeeta and Norman Green of Winnsboro; brothers-in-law, AArnold and Agnes Ables; sisters-in-law, Louise Land and Elizabeth Brown; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special roommate and friend, Daisy Shearer.

Pallbearers were Terry Bolten, Jerry Busby, Ronny Lee, Thomas Keeble, Tommy Walter and Rickey Ables.
If desired, memorials may be made to Caney Cemetery Association or Heart to Heart Hospice.
