Jane Kettlewell Taken By Death

Death entered the family of Richard S. Kettlewell of Franz valley Saturday and took the young wife of their eldest son, Allen.

Allen Kettlewell and Jane Bell Wendt were married March 16, 1940, and had since made their home in Redwood City until Mrs. Kettlewell was stricken with a serious illness. She was rushed to the Franklin Hospital in San Francisco, but in spite of the fact that everything medical science could offer was done for her, she passed away last Saturday night.

Jane Kettlewell was born in Denver, Colo., in 1913, and came to California with her parents when just a baby. For several years during her early life she lived at the home of the late Mr. and Mrs. S. B. Clark in Franz valley and for a few years attended the Franz valley school.

She leaves two children by a former marriage, George and Janis Wendt. Also surviving, besides her husband, are her father, Howard C. Bell of Los Angeles, and a brother, Robert Bell of Oakland.

Christian Science rites were conducted at the Hampton and Eggen, Funeral Home in Santa Rosa Wednesday at 2 p. m. Interment took place in the Calistoga cemetery.

The sympathy of the entire community is extended to the bereaved young husband and to her family.
