Bear was a son of Herbert Frank and Florence Edna (Dobson) Baxter

SEABROOK - Herbert F. "Bear" Baxter Jr., 51, of 79 Centennial St. died Monday, June 12, 1995, in Anna Jaques Hospital, in Newburyport, Mass., following a sudden illness.
He was born Nov. 14, 1943, in Seabrook and was a life long resident.
He attended Seabrook Elementary School and was a 1962 graduate of Winnacunnet High School, Hampton.
Mr. Baxter was the maintenance supervisor at Yankee Greyhound Race Track in Seabrook for 20 years.
He was a member of the Seabrook Firemen's Association.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Florence (Dobson) and George Abesamra of Methuen, Mass.; his father, Herbert F. Baxter of Seabrook; three sons, Herbert f. Baxter III of Seabrook, Brian A. Baxter of Concord and Bradley R. Baxter of Seabrook; three daughters, Tammy-Jo Baxter of Concord, Robbi-Lyn Baxter of East Kingston and Tara Emond of Seabrook; 10 grandchildren; one brother, Robert Abesamara of Methuen; three sisters, Selma Bardsley of Byfield, Mass., Diane Lupo of Methuen and Robyn Abesamara of Newburyport, Mass.; and several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services were held Thursday in the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home, Hampton. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery, Seabrook.
