Viola May Buffer, 77 of Decatur, passed away December 7, 2007 in Siloam Springs. Mrs. Buffer was born May 5, 1930 in Joplin, Missouri to Earnest and Mabel Robbins Thompson. She retired from Peterson Ind. in Decatur after 26 years. She worked hard to support her family and was a long time resident of the area. She is preceded in death by her husband Charles Henry Lee Buffer, a son Charles Lee, and a daughter Violet Buffer. She is survived by three daughters Frances Smith of the home, Kathy Jones of Siloam Springs and Mary Burrow of Jay, OK; eleven grandchildren Charles Dee, Shawn, Cody and Johnny Buffer, Bennie Watkins, Lamanda Havens, Edward Stowe, Lorrette and Marvin Tinnin, Wesley and Bryan Higgins. Graveside service at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, December 15, 2007 at George?s Cemetery in Gravette, AR Cremation arrangements by Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th St. Rogers, AR (downtown).[The Morning News, pg 4A, Springdale, Washington County, Arkansas - December 11,2007]
