Born the eighth child of Henry Leissner and his wife Emma Koehler in Seguin, Guadalupe, Texas, Erna Charlotte Leissner's brothers and sisters were Hugo, Toni Martha, Elizabeth Ann known as "Lizzie", Hilda Emma, Ida Emma, Arthur known as "Al", Eleanora and Alleene. In 1914, she married Harry Edgar Mauret and had one daughter, Evelyn Hattie. A second marriage in 21 Sept 1921 to Bruno Bock gave her a second daughter Ardice Aleene known as "Ardie". In addtion to Bruno's two children from his first marriage, Edgar and Emma Jo Bock completed the family.
