Eugene Dortch was raised by his Dortch grandparents, Charles Dortch and Rosalie Perkinson, so he was raised with the Dortch name. His mother Drew Dortch always lived near or with Eugene. Eugene was Drew's only child. He married Georgia Anna Burnette. Georgia and Eugene did not have any children. They are buried together. Eugene's father was Charles Lee Clark. Both his parents are buried together in Richmond National Cermetery. (also posted on this site.) Later in life, he was known to his family as "Uncle Pete" and was missing one hand. He was very lovable.
