Dorothy Stine Cornish, 75, Springfield, died Thursday, September 23, 1999 at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville. Born March 3, 1924 in Washington County, she was the daughter of Estelle Stine of Lawrenceburg and the late James R. Stine. She was a member of the Springfield Baptist Church a a retired cafeteria employee of the Washington County Board of Education. Survivors, in addition to her mother, include, her husband, Clifton Cornish; two sons, David Cornish, Amherst, OH and Jerry Cornish, Oberlin, OH; two daughters, Mrs. Don (Barbara) Carney, Burgin and Mrs. Larry (Betty Nell) Hamilton, Springfield; one sister, Harold A. (Annelle) Stockton, Lawrenceburg; three brothers, J. C. Stine, Lawrenceburg, Joseph Buford Stine, Harrodsburg, and Phillip Stine, Fern Creek; nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Stine, and a grandson, Charles Patrick Hamilton. Funeral services were held Saturday, September 25, at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Bland Mason, and Rev. Timothy Cornish officiating. Burial was on Cemetery Hill.
