He worked as a Contracting Officer for the Department of Defense. Buddy was an Air Force Sergeant during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Alder Avenue Baptist Church, Kansas Lodge of the American Legion, and Scottish Rite of Japan and Korea. Buddy was raised as a Mason in Japan at the Okinawa Lodge #118 on September 7, 1973. He was also a member of the Alameda Lodge #167 in Hayward and the Harmony Lodge #18 in Japan. Beloved husband of 33 years to Hiromi Brown. Loving father of Elainna Tornquist, Janette Brown, and Samuel Brown. Dear brother of Ruth Ann Betts. Adored grandfather of Hunter and Jillian Tornquist. Burial will be Monday, September 17, 2001 1:30 P.M. at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, 32053 West McCabe Road Gustine, CA. A celebration service will be held Saturday, September 22, 2001 at 1:30 P.M. at Alder Avenue Baptist Church, 4111 Alder Avenue, Fremont. Fremont Chapel of the Roses 510-797-1900.
