Mrs. Turner died Saturday, May 25, 1991, at Providence-St. Margaret's Hospital in Kansas City, Kan. She was visiting her sister, Elsie Williams, in Kansas City, Kan., when she became ill.
She was born Jan. 19, 1910, in Welborn, the daughter of Sylvester and Madeline Wesley Lane. She attended Welborn Elementary School.
She was a resident of Lawrence since 1927, moving from Kansas City, Kan. She did domestic work in many Lawrence homes.
She married Edward Clifford Turner on Aug. 7, 1979, in Kansas City, Kan. He died in 1983.
Other survivors include two sisters, Florence James and Velma Stroud, and a brother, Clarence Lane, all of Kansas City, Kan.
