Longtime Marlow resident Etolia Birmingham died Tuesday, July 16, 1991, in a Duncan hospital. She was 82.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday (today), in the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Charles Nordean officiating. Burial will be in Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home.
Born Dec. 13, 1908, in Cement, Mrs. Birmingham had lived in Marlow for the past 78 years. A retired teacher, she attended Marlow High School and Oklahoma College for Women. She has taught at Acme from 1933 to 1946 and then at Meridian frm 1946 to 1971. Mrs. Brimingham was a member of the Eastern Star, GFWC Coterie Club, the Retired Teachers Association and of the First United Methodist Church.
She was married to Curtis Birmingham on Feb. 18, 1933, in Marlow.
Survivors include her husband, Curtis, of the home, two sisters, Oleta Goins of Marlow and Glee Ola Henson of Duncan; and a brother, George Armstrong of Marlow.
Serving as pallbearers will be Tommy Taylor, Kenneth Patterson, Oral Ellis, Ernest Muncrief, Alton Branch, Bob Graves and Joe Bob Love. Honorary bearers will be Jay Love, Ike Pollock, Leo Qualls, Bill Jones and R. K. Johnson.
