Baker Claude E was born May 13, 1888, the son of Myron and Laura Baker, and died Aug. 22, 1924 at the age of 36 years, 2 months and 9 days. He was born and grew to manhood on the farm near Kimmell and was educated in the public schools of York Twp. He chose farming as his life work. November 7, 1908 he married Nellie Cole, and they had three children, Mildred 14, Kenneth 8, and a son who died in infancy. He was fraternally affiliated with the IOOF and the Modern Woodmen Lodges of Kimmell and was a member of the Sparta Christian Church. He leaves the wife and children, a father and mother, and a sister, Mrs. Ella Priest of Albion
