Born June 14, 1946, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of Ruth (Shipman) Roberts Cooley of Roebuck, her father, the late James Armond Roberts, and her step-father, the late Curtis W. Cooley.
A graduate of Cecil's Business College, she was a homemaker, mother, and grandmother, and a lifetime member of Canaan Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to her mother is her husband, William "Bill" Harold Lee, II; two sons, Hal Lee and his wife Marisa, and James Lee and his wife Suzanne, all of Roebuck; a sister, Emily C. Crocker and her husband Dale of Spartanburg; and five grandchildren, Lauren, Lathan, Jami, Jacob, and Jeni Wren.
Graveside services were held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, October 18, 2007, at Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Joel Gardner. The family received friends following the service in the Sunday School Building at the Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials could be made to Canaan Baptist Church, Kentucky Missions, 701 Canaan Road, Spartanburg, SC 29306.
