A 1940 graduate of Lafayette High School, Ms. Carroll was a member of Cramer and Hanover Church of Christ were she was a member of the choir. Norma possessed a superb singing voice.
Norma was a former security officer at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington and she was a member of the Faternal Order of Police Ladies Auxiliary and an associate member of KPOA.
Ms. Carroll was the widow of Ambrose Green Brannock (A.G.) who passed away in 1975.
In January, 1980, Ms. Carroll married Leon Carroll. They resided in Jessamine County, Kentucky.
Ms. Carroll was the niece of Anna Lee Moore Wurtenberger, sister of her mother Rena Mae.
At the time of her demise, Ms. Carroll was survived by: her husband, Leon; a son, Frank Wayne Brannock; four grandsons; three granddaughters; four great-grandsons; and three brothers, Robert 'Bob' Hawkins, John E. Hawkins, and Emmett M. Hawkins, as well as three stepsons and four stepgrandchildren.
Norma passed away at Pine Meadows Nursing Home in Lexington, KY on 10/28/1997. Services were held at Kerr Brothers and Ms. Carroll was laid to rest in the Lexington Cemetery.
