THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, September 12, 1907, page 4, column 1. "Sudden Death - Mrs. William Ayers of near Nevada, died Monday morning from apoplexy. Mrs. Ayers had retired the evening before in her usual health, and a short time before she died complained of a severe pain in her head and all that was available was done to relieve her, but before medical aid could reach her she had passed away. The deceased leaves a husband and six children to mourn her loss. The funeral was conducted at the Iowa Center church Wednesday after which interment was made in the Woodland Cemetery."
