ROGERSVILLE - Clarence Olen Head, 77, of 104 Par 3 Circle, died Tuesday (Oct. 24, 2000) at Wellmont Hawkins County Memorial Hospital after an extended illness.
He was the owner of Head's Carpet and was a member of Rogersville Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Head was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force having served during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Connie Manis Head; three brothers; and two sisters.
Surviving are his wife, Loette Eula Hungerford Head, of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Paul David Head and wife Kim, Krum, Texas; one grandson, Colton Head, Krum, Texas; one sister, Mossie Mellons, Church Hill; two brothers, Everett Head, Kingsport, and Earl Head, Center, Ala.; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at Highland Cemetery with Dr. David L. Hale officiating.
Pallbearers will be Barry North, Eddie Price, Joe Boyd, Tom Herron, Jimmy Hungerford, and Ron Head.
Broome Funeral Home, Rogersville, is in charge of the arrangements.
