Charles Phillips was born in Maryland and came to Fleming Co., KY with his parents. As a grown man he moved to Brown Co., OH and there married Ruth Glaze. After her death in 1847, he moved with his four small children to Montgomery Co., IN.Inmarried Jane McDanile in Montgomery Co., In 23 Dec 1847 and had eight more children.

Note: death date on heasdstone is not correct. It does not match the date on his death certificate. He dies according to his death certificate he died 27 Jan 1900 and not in 1898.
