Peggy Louise Doherty Poynter, 78, of Amarillo died Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2003.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle.
Mrs. Poynter was born in Hedley and had been a longtime Amarillo resident. She was an administrative assistant.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Poynter on May 16, 1983.
Survivors include a daughter, Pamela Sarah Bergeron of Amarillo; a son, Mark Poynter of Garland; a sister, Camilla Pistoria of Amarillo; four grandchildren, Eric Bergeron, Heather Lancour, Alex Bergeron and Laurel Bergeron; and a great-granddaughter, Lexi Ramirez.
The family suggests memorials be to Animal Rescue Shelter, 12500 S. Washington St., Amarillo, TX 79118.
The family will be at 5416 Boxwood Lane.
