Nancy Jane Sanders was the daughter of Wiley McDonald Sanders and Nancy Caroline Lewis.

She married Calvin Armstrong on January 31, 1902, in Hickman County, TN, and they had at least 5 children:
Myrtle (1904-1937),
Thelma (born ~1908, married James Andrew Hutchinson),
Louise (born ~1910, married Lonnie Lewis - Memorial 103124786),
James Bernard (1913-2002), and
Willie (1916-1934).

Nancy passed away from typhoid fever. According to her birth certificate, she was born in 1881; however, her headstone states she was born in 1879.
