Margaret was a daughter of Albert and Gertrude (Ligrisse) Cook. She married Emil E. Taghon. She later married Charles Aldrich. He preceded her in death.

Also preceding her in death was her daughter, Barbara Brown; her first husband, Emil E. Taghon; three sisters; six brothers; and a great-granddaughter, Brittney Christy.

Surviving are her sons, Edward R. (Jeanean) Taghon of Dunlap and Richard G. (Hilda) Taghon of Graham, Wash.; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Lucille Hirner of Peoria; and several nieces and nephews.

Margaret worked in the parts office at Caterpillar Inc. in Peoria for about 30 years, retiring in 1970.

She loved to cook and clean her home.

She was a member of Memorial Christian Church in Peoria.

Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Peoria.
