News of the death of Mrs William Palmer, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs Dayton Armstrong, at Van Hornesville, reached here Friday. She was born in Springfield in 1842 and resided here many years, going to reside with her daughter, on account of failing health. When a young girl she joined the Baptist church in this village, and was always a faithful member and attended all the services regularly. She was a sincere Christian and a much respected woman. She is survived by her aged husband, two daughters, Mrs Fred Hart and Mrs Dayton Armstrong, one son, Arthur Palmer, and grandchildren. Sympathy is extended to them in their bereavement. The funeral was held at the Baptist church Sunday, her pastor, Rev. Trice, officiating. Burial in the family plot in the Springfield Center cemetery.
