Shirley Dean King, 70, of Springfield, Missouri, was born to Victor J. and Jewell Baldwin on June 27, 1937, near Greenfield, Mo. She was married to Don King on March 1, 1958. She passed away on September 25, 2007, in her sister's home after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Shirley is survived by her step-son, Christopher King of Kansas City, Mo., and her twin sister, Shelba Jean Baldwin of Springfield, Mo., as well as many relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and two brothers, Victor L. and Truman Baldwin.

Shirley always practiced good Christian principles and was kind and compassionate to everyone she met. She was treasured as a wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her, including two little furry creatures named Ozzie and Poopsie.

Funeral services were held on Friday, September 28, in Greenlawn Funeral Home South, West Battlefield. Burial will be in Clear Springs Cemetery, Tecumseh, Mo.
