In 1919 Arthur married his first cousin Pearl Rebecca DeWester. All of his children [sons Lloyd Arthur & Charles Lee and daughter Anna Pearl Elizabeth] and 4 grandchildren preceded him in death.
In World War I Arthur was assigned to the medical corps, often going onto a battlefield before all of the Mustard Gas had evaporated, resulting in a life-long battle with emphysema.
He was survived by his wife Pearl, 2 granddaughters, brother Raymond Ace & sister Leora Carrigan.
