Clara Eugenia Beddo, my g-grandmother, was the youngest of three children born to my gg-grandparents: James H. Beddo (1831-1861) and Mary Judson Whaley Beddo (1835-1884).
Clara married my g-grandfather, William Sidney Pierce Cook, at the age of 19 on December 23, 1879 in Marshall, Harrison County, Texas. Clara and W. S. Cook had three sons:
1) Sidney Herbert Cook - my grandfather - (1881-1966);
2) Henry Forman Cook (1883-1955); and
3) Howard Leroy Cook (1885-1951).
Clara died two years after my g-grandfather, W. S. Cook, died at the age of 68 years. Cause of death was "senility due to hypostatic pneumonia".
