Henry Lee "Poppie" Miller, a retired manager of operations with Turner Industries, a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Church Point, passed away at 4:20 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2007, at his residence. He was 72 and a U.S. Marine Corps/staff sergeant veteran.
Arrangements entrusted to Greenoaks Funeral Home. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
Survived by his wife, May Grace Miller; daughter, Diane Jagneaux–Meche; two sons, Bryan Edward Miller Sr. and Henry Lee Miller III; sister, Norma Richard; brother, John M. Miller; seven grandchildren, Raven Brasseux, Brittney Meche, Christian Miller, Bryan Miller Jr., Dallas Miller, Megan Miller and Nichole Barbie; and two great-grandchildren, Bailey Prudhomme and Arianna Brasseux.
Preceded in death by his father, Louis Miller; mother, Agnes Miller; son, Michael Miller; and brother, Louis C. Miller.
He enjoyed family, piddling in his work shop, fishing and hunting.
