A SOLDIER'S DEATH.
Captain George W. McCullough, formerly and for many years a resident of Germantown, died at Merchantville, N. J., on Wednesday last week, and was buried in Ivy Hill Cemetery on Saturday. He was brother to Rev. Dr. McCullough, of the M. E. Conference. Deceased was a member of the Scott Legion and captain of a company of Philadelphia volunteers in the Mexican war, and also commanded a company during the late war, which he assisted to enlist from Germantown. He was a man of modest manners and sought not to demonstrate in any way the honors he earned.
