Nellie M. (Thomason) Calvert, daughter of the late Walter F. and DeLora C. (Hurley) Thomason, was born March 2, 1915 in Montreal, Missouri. Nellie grew up and attended school in the Freedom community near Montreal.

Nellie was united in marriage to Otto Anderson in Camden County, Missouri and they were blessed with four children: Kenneth Dale, LeRoy, Eugene and James. Otto, Kenneth Dale and Eugene preceded Nellie in death.

In the mid 1970's, Nellie was united in marriage to Otto Calvert in Columbia, Missouri. Otto preceded Nellie in death on February 19, 1997

Nellie was a hardworking and loving mother. She worked at different restaurants around the lake area as a waitress. She enjoyed helping people and meeting her family's needs. She liked to dance and has even danced at the Grand Ole Opry. In her spare time, she liked to make beautiful quits and enjoyed her flower gardens, especially her geraniums. Most importantly, she treasured the times that she could spend with her family.

Since a child, Nellie was a member of the Freedom Church. She also was a member of the Eastern Star of Camdenton, Missouri.

Nellie went home to be with her Lord at 9:09 A.M. Wednesday, October 25, 2006 in the Richland Care Center at the age of 91 years, 7 months and 23 days.

Nellie will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by two sons: Leroy Anderson and his wife, Claudia of Columbia, MO and James Anderson of the state of California; 10 grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Nellie was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, tow son, one brother, one infant sister and one granddaughter.

A graveside service was held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, October 27, 2006 at Freedom Cemetery, Camden County, Missouri with Dr. Mike Hawkins officiating. Mrs. Calvert's granddaughter Courtney Bratkowski sang "Amazing Grace". Serving as escorts were Jonathon Anderson, Timothy Anderson, Kyle Anderson Wren, Adam Anderson, Aaron Anderson and Joseph Hurley. Honorary escorts were Shane Anderson Bratkowskii, Jason Anderson, Jeremiah Anderson, Donnie Anderson, Eric Anderson, Shawn Anderson and Curtis Wren.

Services were under the direction of Memorial Chapel of Richland.
