Born in Schmittviller, Moselle, in the Lorraine region of France. Son of Philippe Jaman and Magdalena Hoffman Jaman. Married Catherine Sitterly June 24, 1834, in Schenectady, Albany Co, NY., in a Baptist ceremony. They later married in the Catholic Church in Rochester, NY.

Death of Andrew Yawman
Thursday morning Mr. Andrew Yawman, grandfather to George McLagan and father to Mrs. P.E. O'Maley, died at the home of Mr. McLagan, No. 324 E. Hull Street. Mr. Yawman was 85 years old. He came to Denison nine years ago from St. Paul, and has resided with his children and grandchildren since that time. Funeral services were held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Friday evening at 3 o'clock. Remains interred in Oakwood Cemetery.
