Paul Hood, 73, of Winona, died of heart failure Tuesday, January 14, 1997, at Baptist Hospital in Jackson.
Mr. Hood was the former owner and operator of Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company of Winona. He was a member of Moore Memorial United Methodist Church, former alderman and vice-mayor of City of Winona, and a former Director of Sunburst Bank. He was an Honorary former president of Mississippi Bottlers Assn. He was an Army Veteran of World War II and was a winner of the Purple Heart in World War II.

Funeral services were held at Moore Memorial United Methodist Church at 11:00 a.m. Friday, Jan. 17 with the Rev. Bryan Scarbrough and the Rev. Harold Richardson officiating. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery in Winona.

Mr. Hood is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ingrun G. Hood of Winona; three daughters, Paula McCaulla of Bartlett, Tenn., Faye Gipson of Jackson, Miss., Annette Robertson of Dallas, Texas; two sons, Bill Robertson of Jackson, John Robertson of Winona; one sister, Ruth Hunter of Winona; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Pallbearers were Ed Bledsoe, Tommy Muirhead, Joe Curington, Percy Legg, Phillip Evans, and R.L. Brunson.

Honorary pallbearers were Howard Caffey, Leroy Mills, and W.W. Jenkins.

Lee Funeral Home of Winona was in charge of arrangements.
