Funeral services for Carmon O. Moses, 68, of Thorndale were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9, 2004, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Rev. Buddy Morton officiating. Burial was in Salty Cemetery.

Mrs. Moses died Thursday, Feb. 5, in a Bryan hospital.

A resident of Thorndale for 33 years, she was born Sept. 3, 1935, in Milam County to Daniel Wilson Parker and Alice Ann Wade.

She married James A. "Doc" Moses on Dec. 4, 1957.

Mrs. Moses was a homemaker and loved cooking and gardening.

She was a member of the Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, James A. "Doc" Moses, on July 29, 2001; two sisters, Maebelle Parker and Bernice Abel; and two brothers, Bill Parker and Johnny Parker.

Survivors are a son, Allen Moses of Thorndale; a brother, Clifford Parker of Taylor; and a sister, Irene Collins of Round Rock; also, a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers were John D. Collins, David Parker, Jackie Moses, Randy Moses, Ricky Moses and Corbin Moses.
