Almarie Roy Isaac, 87, boarded her bus from earth to Heaven. The angels welcomed her transfer at 11:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, 2007. A farewell service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, at Greater New Light Missionary Baptist Church.

Almarie was born in Harrison Switch, Texas, to the late Dee and Geneva Roy. She became a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church in Riesel at a very early age. She was also a member of Greater Mount Olive and Greater Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church and an associate member at St. Paul A.M.E. Church. She was a housewife, mother, chef, teacher, counselor and prayer person for her family and many more. She was employed with Hillcrest Hospital for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband of many years, Henry Isaac; and sisters, Katie Deckard and Venora Ray.

She is survived by her daughters, Janell Harris Leake and Frances Isaac White; son, Charles Henry Isaac; her grandchildren, Sharlena Janell Bell, Datre' D. White Jr., Datron Cotrell White Sr., of Grand Prairie, Texas, Chante' Valenzuela and husband, Joey, of Taylor, James and Joseph Harris Jr., of Dayton, Ohio, Michael Harris and wife, Vanessa, of Houston, and Phyllis Harrison, of Hawaii; great-grandchildren, Tyris, Erione, Datron White Jr., Cherish Valenzuela and Malaysia Bell, Lindsey, Jay, James Jr., Kennedy, Taylor and Lauren JaMichael Harris; brother, Albert Roy, of Waco; sisters, Annever Oliver, of Plano, Mable Boston, of Nacogdoches, Martha Sanders, of Indianapolis, Ind., and Ollie Crawford and husband, Wade, of Miami, Fla.; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; special in-law, Sarah Averyhardt; and special friend, Maurice Brisco.
