Lifelong Thorndale resident, Johnny Wayne Biehle, 52, died Sunday, July 22, 2007 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, July 26 at Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Rev. Nita Newman of Pleasant Retreat Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Retreat Cemetery near Thorndale.
Mr. Biehle was born Feb. 7, 1955 in Taylor to Adolph and Frances (Beran) Biehle. He married Linda Larkin on Nov. 15, 1980 at St. John's United Methodist Church in Rockdale.
He was a graduate of Thorndale High School, a member of Pleasant Retreat Methodist Church, and a member of the National Greyhound Association and Texas Greyhound Association. He enjoyed team roping, riding horses and hog hunting.
Mr. Biehle was preceded in death by his father, Adolph Biehle; grandparents, Joe and Tracy (Haag) Beran and Rinehold and Lena (Linton) Biehle.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Biehle of Thorndale; son, Troy Jacob Biehle of Thorndale; daughter, Heather Henderson and husband Justin of Thorndale; his mother, Francis Biehle of Thorndale; two brothers, Kenneth Biehle and wife Darlene of Thorndale and Ray Biehle and wife Gloria of Rockdale; sister, Mary Towery and husband Glenn of Thorndale.
Pallbearers are Richard Schneider, Benny Janecka, Mike Walden, Marty Tanner, Jason Worley and Steven Towery. Honorary pallbearers are Mike Scruggs, Kevin Stifflemire, Stanley Garrison, John Schneider, Derrick Ensor, Matthew Ensor, Glen Schneider, Ethan Walden, Bubba Hoffman and Clayton Schneider.
