Ruth Evelyn Hansmire was born near Thompson, Nebraska, August 19, 1893 and passed to her eternal reward at her home in Paxico, Kansas, May 8th, 1920, being 26 years, 8 months and 19 days of age. She was united in marriage to Mr. Rae (sic) Weirich on Nov. 20, 1916. To this union was born one child Ruth Rae.
Those nearest of kin left to mourn their loss are the husband and daughter with the father John Hansmire, now of Fairbury and three brothers Homer of Fairbury, Rex of Wymore, Neb., Howard of Ashton, Idaho. Two sisters, Mrs. Joe McCord of Fairbury and Mrs. Ernest Miller of Preston, Nebr. The mother and two brothers preceeded (sic) her all within two years.
Th (sic) remains were brought to Fairbury on Monday morning and funeral services were held at Steele's chapel at two o'clock that afternoon which were conducted by Rev. W. A. Nickerson, Baptist minister of Reynolds, assisted by the Thompson Baptist choir using favorite hymns of the deceased. Burial was in the Fairbury cemetery.
Mrs. Weirich was highly esteemed in Jefferson county by her many friends. The floral tributes were many and beautiful.
