Scotts Hill - Sam Rhodes, 81, died Friday evening at his home in Scotts Hill after a long illness.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at Scotts Hill Pentecostal Church with Rev. E. J. Grimsley officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
He was a retired farmer, son of the late George and Mary Rhodes.
Surviving are four sons, Ernest Rhodes, Clyde Rhodes, and Bill Rhodes, all of Scotts Hill, and John S. Rhodes of Monroe, Mich.; six daughters, Mrs. Mary Lois White, Mrs. Eula Mae Powers and Mrs. Mildred Hays, all of Scotts Hill, Mrs. Ruth Jerkins of Memphis, Mrs. Martha Flowers of Ft. Worth, Tex., and Mrs. Carolyn Cotter of Monroe, Mich.; and 33 grandchildren.
The body will be at the funeral home until services.
