EXTENDED ILLNESS FATAL FOR DAVENPORT MAN

DAVENPORT, Wash., 77, a resident of this area 43 years, died at his home here Christmas day following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at the Church of God here at 1 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. E. I. Hatch officiating. Burial will be in West Greenwood cemetery near Spokane with Bumgarner funeral home of Davenport in charge.

Mr. Atkinson came to Reardan in 1905 and lived in that region many years before moving to Davenport.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mollie Atkinson, at the home here; four sons, Hobart and Paul of Omak, Jay of Coulee Dam and Burt of Sacramento, Calif.; three sisters, Ellen Atkinson and Mrs. Lena Phillips, Redmond, Ore., and Mrs. Carrie Olsen, Omaha, Neb., and 14 grandchildren.
