Elva Malone - LONE TREE
Elva H. (Boyle) Malone, 87, of Lone Tree, formerly of Muscatine, died Thursday, July 30, 1998, at the Lone Tree Health Care Center.
Services will be Monday at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home. The Rev. Scott Lothe will officiate. Burial will be at the Klein Cemetery in rural Muscatine.
She was born July 30, 1911, in rural West Liberty, the daughter of Milton and Mary Elva Ranson Boyle.
She married Fred Sylvester Malone in September 1933. She graduated from West Liberty High School.
She was a devout Christian.
Survivors include two sons, David Lee Malone of Iowa City and Fred S. Malone, Jr. of Cochise, Ariz.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Ellen and Keith Fuhrmeister of Iowa City; Elizabeth Ann and Eldon Jarrard of North Liberty; 11 grandchildren, Bridget, Ramona, Kevin, Sean, Debra, Tammy, Michael, Karen, Michael L., Douglas and Turila; 12 great-grandchildren and one brother, Ranson Boyle, of Red Lake Falls, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters, Edna and Edith, and one brother, Myron.
Elva died in a nursing home in Lone Tree, Iowa after on her birthday, with her daughters Mary & Betty present and in attendance. They were celebrating her birthday together. She left this world bathed in the love and attention of her two caring daughters to join her beloved husband. - Parted suddenly in life, together in death once more.
