Bernard lost his two brothers within a week of each other in Oct. 1918. Truman died in France on Oct. 11th...not sure if he was KIA or if he died of Spanish Influenza. His brother, Harold died on Oct. 18th of Spanish Influenza. They have Truman listed as one of Harold's survivors, so they didn't even know he was gone yet
