Cornelius D. Fonda, 51 years old, of Gloversville, died Thursday from the effects of sun stroke. The deceased was a tanner by trade, and, it is thought, the unusual heat of the past few days affected him. He was first stricken at 7 o'clock Wednesday morning, when he lapsed into an unconscious condition and he never regained consciousness. He is survived by his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Charles Van Allen and Miss Marguerite Fonda, all of Gloversville; two sisters, Mrs. Peter Gulick, of Gloversville, and Mrs. Van Hotaling of Mechanicsville; four brothers, Charles Fonda of Gloversville, John and Archibald Fonda, of Seattle, Washington, and Elroy Fonda, of Mayfield.
