Mrs. Castillo died at her residence Monday, July 2, 2007, in Hale Center. She was born Dec. 22, 1944, in Canyon, and married Juan G. Castillo on Aug. 13, 1960, in Hale Center. Mrs. Castillo was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church where she was president of the Guadalupanos. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW.
Survivors include her father, Tony Garcia; her husband; three sons, Michael Castillo and Rick Castillo, both of Hale Center, and Damian Castillo of Lubbock; four daughters, Mandy Williams of Abbeyville, Ga., Mary Alice Garza of Hale Center, Denise Adame of Lubbock and Sindy Castillo of Hale Center; 21 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; five brothers; and three sisters.
