NEWPORT NEWS - Coy A. Crane, 84, a Newport News resident, died July 1, 2007. He was born in Beggs, Okla., June 20, 1923 to Coy A. and Fern French Crane. Both preceded him in death. He survived by his wife, Margarette Henderson Crane. His only immediate family survivor is his sister, Ida Crane Daum of Austin, Texas. He is also survived by a favorite niece, Margarette S. Valier of Stamford, Conn. and other loved nieces and nephews. Mr. Crane entered the Army during World War II at Ft. Eustis, Va. after 22 years of Service. He retired from Eastern State Hospital, Williamsburg, after serving as Personnel Director. Private services and inurnment will be at Arlington National Cemetery Columbarium. Memorials may be made to Army Transportation Museum Foundation, Drawer D, Ft. Eustis, VA 23604-0320 or Sentara Hospice, 2713 Magruder Blvd,. Suite #6, Hampton, VA. 23666-1572. Cremation Society of Virginia Peninsula offices are assisting the family.
