Susan Kay Allbee, 44, of Casa Grande died June 24, 2007 at Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix.

Ms. Allbee was born April 22, 1963 in Des Moines. She graduated from Dexfield High School in Redfield, Iowa, in 1981 and joined the Marine Corps in 1983. She served in Iowa, California and Okinawa. She became ill in 1989 and was placed on disability retired status, then permanently retired in 1994. She was enthusiastic about the Marine Corps all her life and was a life member of the Marine Corps League, Disabled American Veterans, Women Marines Association and the American Legion, Ira H. Hayes Post 84 in Sacaton. She also was a member of the 1st Marine Division Association, Arizona Leathernecks Motorcycle Group, Patriot Guard Riders and Unity Church in Surprise, Arizona.

She received an associate degree from Riverside (CA.) Community College in 1998 and a bachelor's degree from California State University in San Bernardino in 2001.

She is survived by her mother, Gayle Nath of Des Moines; her stepfather, Garry Davis of Redfield; a brother, Anthony Davis of Des Moines; two sisters, Stacy Stewart of Des Moines and Tonya Davis of Redfield; grandmother, Nova Findley of Des Moines; two nieces; and three nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Allbee, and grandfather, Denver Findley.
