OBIT: Merrill E Rock, 54, died unexpectedly of a heart attack in his home at 2707 1/2 South Street at 8 pm Wednesday. He was a press operator at the aluminum plant and worked there as usual Wednesday. Born in Lafayette he spent his life here. He married Mary Anderson in 1922. Survivors besides his widow are two sons and four daughters, Edward and Donald at home, Mrs Robert Kull and Mrs Robert Pettit, Lafayette, Mrs William Casey, El Paso, TX and Mrs Robert BerHage, Kalamazoo, MI, with two brothers and two sisters, Frank Rock and Mrs Mary Klutzke, Lafayette, and Earl Rock and Mrs Jessie Gonzales, Gary.
