Son of Jim McGough & Sue Love

Homer Sidney McGough, 80, Broken Bow, died Monday in the DeQueen General Hospital in DeQueen, Ark.

Born April 8, 1895, in Wilton, Ark., he had been a resident of McCurtain County 55 years, moving from Arkansas. He was a retired farmer, a veteran of World War I and a member of the Assembly of God church.

Surviving are his wife, Birdie, of the home; two sons, Jim and Marshall McGough, both of Broken Bow; two daughters, Sue Sorrell and Marie Kemp, both of Broken Bow; one foster daughter, Jean Price of Oklahoma City; 14 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday in the First Assembly of God Church of Broken Bow, with the Rev. Gary Davidson, assisted by the Rev. Bernard Escalante, officiating.

Arrangements and burial in the Broken Bow cemetery are under the direction of Norwood-Welch Funeral Home.
