Bryce F Anderson, 89, longtime resident of Saline County, died Monday in Salina Nursing Home, 320 S Santa Fe.
Born 7-5-1870, in Salina, Mr Anderson was one of Saline County's early-day farmers. The family home was two miles northeast of Salina. Mr Anderson often reminisced on the changes he had seen in the community in his nearly 90 years here.
His wife, Annie, died many years ago.
Surviving are one daughter Mrs Ruth Lower, Jermine, Idaho, Two sons, Thomas B, Salina, and Robert L, Boise, Idaho, and three sisters, Mrs Anna Switzer, Houston, Texas; Katherine Anderson, Three Hills, Canada, and Mrs Elizabeth Peden, Düsseldorf, Germany.
Mr Anderson was one of the first members of the Eagles Lodge in Salina.
The funeral will be a 2 pm Thursday at the Guy R. Ryan Sons Mortuary. Burial will be in Gypsum Hill cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary after Wednesday morning.
