Julia Bridgewater "Ma" Dorsey
A homemaker and a resident of Baton Rouge, she died Tuesday, May 22, 2007, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 82. Visiting at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, Plaquemine, on Monday, May 28, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Clyde McNeil. Interment in Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church Cemetery in Plaquemine. She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Margaret and Sylvester Graham and Marilyn Taylor, all of Baton Rouge; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Charles and Marion Taylor Sr. of Port Allen and Joseph Taylor Jr. of Baton Rouge; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, five sisters, four brothers and four grandchildren. She loved reading, especially the Bible, gardening and fishing. Hall Davis and Son Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.
