Services for Elsie Mahaffey, 77, of Big Sandy, will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, June 14, 2007, at the Welch Funeral Home Chapel, 4619 Judson Road. Burial will follow in Union Springs Cemetery of Converse, Louisiana.
Mrs. Mahaffey died Tuesday, June 12, 2007, at a local medical center.
Mrs. Mahaffey was born December 18, 1929, in Union Springs, Louisiana, to Clinton and Eula Mae Estes Lum. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Big Sandy.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Dale and Candy Mahaffey of Lewisville, Fred and Kathy Mahaffey of Big Sandy, Ronny and Martha Mahaffey of Norman and Rick Mahaffey of Longview; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby and Maxine Lum of Louisiana andBuster and Jacki Lum of Big Sandy; and numerous grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. this evening, June 13, 2007, at the funeral home.
