Bertha Beatrice "Bebe" (Ross) Sanders, 89, of Lafayette, died at St. Anthony Healthcare at 12:15 a.m. on Tuesday, May 29, 2007. Born in Lafayette on February 27, 1918 to the late James and Delsia (Blackwell) Ross, she was a lifelong resident. She married Leland Sanders on August 16, 1940 in Lafayette and he preceded her in death on November 24, 1986. Mrs. Sanders attended Lafayette Jefferson High School. She was employed at Brown Rubber Company for many years and more recently was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, camping, and fishing.
Surviving is a daughter, Linda Lea Sanders of Lafayette and four sisters: Mary E. Westphal of San Antonio, TX, Opal Wolferd of Houston, TX, Marjorie Knowles and Shirley Klooz both of Lafayette. Preceded in death by a brother, Jim Ross and a sister, Beverly Cooper.
Services were entrusted to Hippensteel Funeral Home of Lafayette, Indiana.
