NEWFIELD, Betty Lou - Age 68 years. Betty Lou Newfield passed away on May 14, 2007 at her Santa Rosa home (Betty's Garden) surrounded by her loving family. Dedicated mother of Tim Skov and Todd Skov both of Santa Rosa. Loving mother-in-law of Kathy Kraesig of Santa Rosa. Sister of Robert Wheeler and his wife Nancy of Lakeport. Survived by her stepdaughters Heidi, Kelly and Vicky, their families, and numerous nieces and nephews. Born in Petaluma to the late Edith and Bert Wheeler, she graduated from Petaluma High School in 1956. Betty was an avid fan of the horse races. She was the "Special Mom" to all the jockeys, horse lovers and people who lost their own mothers. She will also be greatly missed by her "Pajama Party Girls". As per her request there will not be a service at this time. A "Celebration of Betty's Life" will be held at a later date. Inurnment was at Cypress Hill Memorial Park, Petaluma, CA. Memorial contributions may be made to the Marissa Imire Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 14548, Santa Rosa, CA 95402 or to Hospice of Petaluma, 416 Payran St., Petaluma, CA 94952.
