It is understood from the forensic evidence--that Heath subjected Miss Marshall to an horrific attack. She fought back unsuccessfully.
Heath was hanged at Pentonville Prison on 26th October 1946. He was found guilty of the murder of Margery Gardner, murdered earlier in the year. He wasn't charged with Doreen's murder.
Much evidence incriminating him--in the murders of the two women were found in his possession.
