Addo Goldhorn - Died June 31, 1929
Mr. Addo Goldhorn was born on February 15, 1855, in Beerta, Holland. His parents were Geert Jacob Goldhorn and Minnie, nee Beekman, both in Germany. He was united in marriage to Miss Katie Bruins. This union was blessed with 11 children, six of them dying early infancy in Holland.
Mr. Goldhorn and family emigrated to America in 1911 and arrived at LeMars on May 10 where they made their home for a number of years. In 1915 the Goldhorn's took up farming in Lincoln township and the deceased together with his sons was active in that capacity until the time of his death.
Cancer was the affliction of the departed and that disease began it's ravages about eight months ago. He died Monday, July 21 at 7 am.
Mr. Goldhorn leaves to mourn his loss his sorrowing wife, Mrs. Katie Goldhorn, three sons, Geert Goldhorn of Holland, Jacob and Ralph both at home, two daughters, Mrs George Moller of Beerta, Holland, Mrs. Minnie Roemeling if Adrian, Minn., ten grandchildren and one brother, Jacob Goldhorn, living at McBain, Mich.
