Funeral Services To
Be Conducted Sunday
For Accident Victim
Funeral services for Mrs. Adele Barlow, wife of Israel Owen Barlow, of Woods Cross, who died Wednesday, following a truck-automobile crash on June 24 in West Bountiful, will be conducted Sunday at 1 p. m. in the Rose room at 36 East Seventh South, Salt Lake City. Friends may call at the French room in the mortuary until time of services.
Mrs. Barlow was injured while riding as a passenger in a truck of the Farmington Bay CCC camp No 536, at Woods Cross, driven by James Taylor, 21, a camp worker.
Taylor and Clarence Bowers, 22, a fellow enrollee were conducting Mrs. Barlow who operates a lunch stand on CCC grounds on a tour of the camp work project.
The accident occurred when the truck and a touring car operated by Stanley Stager, Jr., of Ravena, Neb., collided.
Following the crash, Mrs. Barlow was taken to a Salt Lake hospital to be treated for the pelvis fracture, internal injuries, hip and back bruises.
Taylor was unhurt in the accident but both Stager and Bowers suffered injuries which required hospitalization.
Bowers, who suffered deep scalp and facial cuts was treated at Fort Douglas post hospital until Monday, when he was reported recovered and released to CCC camp officers.
Stager, who suffered severe gasoline burns on his legs and hips was still in L. D. S. hospital Wednesday night, reported in good condition.
A younger brother of Stager, Harrison Stager, 18, also was hurt in the crash, suffering a forehead gash, while two younger Stager children escaped injury.
